Greek Sunrise
This morning I woke up early (6am) and went down to the waterfront to see the morning sunrise. I was thinking I would be the only one crazy enough to be up that early, but I couldn't have been farther from the truth. Everyone was out getting their morning exercise and fishing for their breakfast. The morning air was refreshing after the hot day yesterday. It reminded me of a cool fall day in North Dakota. On my walk I walked by the White Tower to the statue of Alexander the Great. Eventually at 8:30 I was able to tour the tower to get pictures at the top. The view at the top was amazing, I only wish I could have been up there for the sun rise to get the sun peaking up, over the mountains. Well time for a nap.

Tuesday Night Walk
So tonight Jordan and I took a walk to the waterfront thinking we would be able to get some good night video of Thessaloniki. It just so happened that we got more than we expected. From the White Tower we walked to Aristotle Square where a rally for one of the political parties was being held. It was very intimidating to see hundreds of people in the square using blow horns and waving the party flag. It was a site to see! We got up the courage to brave the rowdy crowds and went into the festivities with our camera. It seemed like the entire town was out. Young and old everyone was partaking in the event. It reminded me like a street fair of sorts. Along the sides of the square vendors were selling food and trinkets. It was one big party. I didn't understand the message, but I could feel the enthusiastic emanating from everyone around me. So I will have some good video of not only the rally but of the city soon to come.

Weekend Get Away
Hey everyone, thought I would write post before I went away for the weekend. For the weekend the school planned a trip to Halkidiki for the international students. So I will be going on that. We leave Saturday morning and get back late Sunday evening. The trip includes sight seeing along the way, a Greek style dinner (which last 4 hours), time out on the town on Saturday night, beach time Sunday afternoon, and a cave visit if there is enough time. So my weekend is packed full of things to do and sounds like a lot of fun. I hope everyone in the states has nice weather to enjoy this weekend. Take care!!

Am I here to study too?
Well I went to my first day of classes yesterday. Finally I start school. On Mon-Wed-Fri my class starts at 12 and I get done at 4. Then on Tu-Th I only have one class and that is at 2. I could get use to having class in the afternoons. That way I can work on homework in the mornings, then go to class. The school is a bit different than I imagined. The student body is only 400 or so and 175 of them are American study abroad students. The campus is connected with a high school and elementary school, so you could go to class from K to MBA without leaving. What I really like are the small class sizes and the friendly professors. Most of them grew up in the states or have studied over there. I think it is going to be a great semester. Well I am going to catch the bus to school. Talk to everyone later!!
